These templates and guide are created for a company optimized for their Instagram content marketing using the carousel format.
The main purpose of the recurring theme for the template including layout and colour scheme is to differentiate from the saturated information hub style of content marketing in the digital marketing industries. Most of these social media post will utilize bright colours and a lot of negative space to direct the eyes directly to the content.
But the guide and template I created is using soft colours and utilizing the background with related visual to the content.
Fonts used are Helvetica Black and Helvetica Thin. This is to create hierarchy in the content so naturally, the eyes will be attracted to the thick lines of Helvetica Black while still complemented by the small but recurring title and username tag in the creatives. The decision to use these two fonts is because it's ease of readability and versatility.
The first template is for the thumbnail which is the first thing user will see when browsing their Instagram. Keywords are highlighted in yellow opposed to the white colour for the rest of the words.
Username tag is always visible in smaller type just so it won't distract from the main topic but it's always there if the post is shared so other users can search for the username.
As seen in the above photo, the background visuals are related to the main topic as to complement the words with simpler symbols.
And just as important, legend are situated on the top right side of the post as to indicate the gesture or which page are they on.
The end page is the only page with no related background visuals. This page is where the staff can play around with their creativity.
This is the mockup for the overall layout of the Instagram feed. As you can see, the background visuals really complement the topic which makes it easier for the user to remember the post later on.
